چکیده
We develop a new approach to solve the nonlinear Richards equation based on Kirchhoff transformation and localized radial basis function (LRBF) techniques. Our aim is reduce nonlinearity of governing apply LRBF methods for modeling unsaturated flow through heterogeneous soils. In our methodology, we propose special techniques which deal with heterogeneity medium in order where used Brooks Corey model capillary pressure power-law relation saturation relative permeability function. The allows us avoid technical issues encountered due soil equation. resulting Kirchhoff-transformed solved using have advantages terms computational cost since they do not require mesh generation. Furthermore, lead system sparse matrix ill-conditioned issues. To validate developed predicting dynamics porous media, numerical experiments are performed one, two, three-dimensional results demonstrate efficiency accuracy proposed infiltration

performance evaluation of scaling methods of richards’ equation in infiltration modeling in a watershed (case study: marghmalek watershed)
abstract spatial variability of soils makes difficult analysis of soil water flow phenomena especially in a large area such as a watershed. using scaling methods is a solution in variability problems. the objective of this study was to investigate the effect of the non-linear variability on performance of the scaling methods of richards’ equation for modeling infiltration in a watershed. the me...
متن کاملA numerical method for efficient 3D inversions using Richards equation
Fluid flow in the vadose zone is governed by Richards equation; it is parameterized by hydraulic conductivity, which is a nonlinear function of pressure head. Investigations in the vadose zone typically require characterizing distributed hydraulic properties. Saturation or pressure head data may include direct measurements made from boreholes. Increasingly, proxy measurements from hydrogeophysi...
متن کاملSimulation and Derivation of Deflection Equation for Suspended Diaphragm for MEMS Application Using Kirchhoff-Love Theory
In this paper, using theory of sheets, the deflection of suspended diaphragm has been obtained under uniform and circular loading. This type of diaphragm, unlike other diaphragms, has a central support which is recommended to be used in MEMS applications. The relationship between diaphragm deflection and static analysis of this diaphragm enjoys a great significance in investigating and understa...

wt t (t, x)− K (‖wx (t, ·)‖ β Lr (R))a(wx (t, x))wxx (t, x) = 0, (2) w(0, x) = 8(x), wt (0, x) = 9(x), where K is an arbitrary function, sufficiently smooth and taking only positive values; and a = a(s) behaves like |s|p−2 near s = 0. The detailed assumptions on K , r , β, and a are given in (3), (4) and Condition 1 below. For K = K (s) = c1 + c2s (c1, c2 > 0) and p = r = β = 2, we get the famo...
متن کاملA Localized RBF Meshfree Method for the Numerical Solution of the Kdv-Burger’s Equation
This paper formulates a local Radial Basis Functions (LRBFs) collocation method for the numerical solution of the non-linear dispersive and dissipative KdV-Burger’s (KdVB) equation. This equation models physical problems, such as irrotational incompressible flow, considering a shallow layer of an inviscid fluid moving under the influence of gravity and the motion of solitary waves. The local ty...
